Colored Artificial Grass

You may have thought that artificial grass is always green? Not really. We've got a hold on almost any color you may want for your project. Blue, grey, purple, white, orange, and black. It reminds us of the Alice in Wonderland movie when we were looking at these colorful pieces of artificial turf. Having colored grass can brighten up any area and bring a fun and cheerful look to your space.

Let’s take a closer look and find what colored artificial grass can be used for.

  1. Lower Density: Colored grasses are 28oz in weight, which is significantly lower than most green artificial grasses.
  2. Blades: Blades of colored glasses are short and thin, with a minimum amount of filler. Yet they stand up with confidence due to their lightweight and relatively thick backing. V-shape technology of blades provides depth to texture when looking at them from a variety of angles.
  3. Cushion: Colored artificial grass is not the cushiest. It can be compared to stepping on a sweater, while 60oz weight green artificial grass makes it feel like stepping on a thick cover.
  4. Softness: Colored artificial grass blades are thin and soft. They are so light that standing up without infill is not a problem.

As previously mentioned, colored synthetic turf is definitely not the comfiest compared to popular green versions of artificial grass. So, if you decide to use it for a playground, we would suggest putting a thick padding layer underneath the grass. This will help cushion any falls a child might have and prevent them from hurting themselves.

Color artificial grasses are very easy to clean and brush. The grass is short enough to clean with a vacuum cleaner, making it even easier to clean. If you are planning to use the grass on a deck or patio, it may be a very good fit. With no infill, you can easily clean this grass with a rotating brush and pull up blades as often as needed.

  • Provides a unique look.
  • Can beat traffic without sand infill.

  • Not cushy enough for a playground.
  • Can be hot under direct sun.

  • Can be used to cover areas for aesthetic purposes.
  • A great alternative for decks and floors, where vacuum cleaning is required.
